Welcome to Val's Alentejo blog. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts, about my life here in this beautiful central Alentejo province of Portugal,some of my travels and around and about my cottages and the countryside.

I am nestled away on my 5 hectare olive farm.

I have lived here now for 32 years.

I am a true country person. Although sometimes take visits to the city to see my boys. My daughter lives in Switzerland. 3 sons in Lisbon.
I have 6 wonderful grandchildren.

My 5 lovely dogs keep me company.

I read, enjoy blogging, paint now and again.

love gardening. my favorite flower is the rose.

Most of all I love to be happy .. I try to live life to the fullest . Enjoy all the seasons, they all bring something new.

I live on a 5 hectare olive farm.. in my lovely cottages with my 5 loving dogs.

Most of all i love to be happy and enjoy each day that we are blessed with.
